Trev’s Candle Co. started with a question: What’s the smallest, simplest thing I could build that I’d be proud of?
In business school, I dreamed up wild, ambitious projects. Floating hotels. Neon disco-techs. Big ideas that were exciting but impossible to launch on a student budget. One of my professors challenged me to scale things back. Start with a minimum viable product, they said. Something real. Something I could actually make.

So I thought about what I loved. What I’d be excited to create and stand behind.
The answer turned out to be candles.

Not just any candles. I wanted to make something that filled a room, burned for hours, and didn’t rely on synthetic shortcuts. Something clean, simple, and made with care. Something I’d actually want in my home.

It all started with a few supplies, some trial and error, and a small workspace in my laundry room.

 

Candles That Speak for Themselves

Every candle is made with 100% organic soy wax. No paraffin. No chemical fillers. Just clean, plant-based wax that burns evenly and slowly. Soy can be tricky to work with, but the results are worth it.

Each scent is created using therapeutic-grade essential oils. These are the real deal. When you smell lavender, that’s true lavender. When you light sandalwood, it’s wood from nature, not a lab. You can feel the difference in the air.

It’s hard to pick a favorite scent because each one transports me somewhere different. A grove of eucalyptus trees. A sun-warmed citrus orchard. A field of calming chamomile. That natural sense of place is what I try to capture in every blend.

A Brand Built for Consistency

I use numbers instead of names for my candles. Not because I don’t enjoy creativity, but because I believe in reliability. A number is easy to remember and easy to reorder. If you love 444, you can come back for another and trust that it will smell exactly the same.

I want you to feel like you’ve found your candle. The one you reach for after a long day. The scent that fills your space and becomes part of your routine. Once you discover that favorite, I’ll always be here to make more.

Scent is incredibly personal, so I offer fully customizable candles. You can pick your own scent blend, your preferred color, and even your own number. That number can be anything you want—a meaningful date, a lucky number, or something totally random that just feels right.

Creating custom orders is one of the best parts of what I do. No two are the same, and each one tells a little story.

Small Batch, Big Heart

All of my candles are made by hand in batches of two or fewer. It’s a tight operation, tucked into my laundry room, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love the process—the pour, the scent testing, the quality control that comes with making something yourself.

I keep the tone light and playful, but behind the scenes, everything is tracked and measured with care. My systems are solid. My standards are high. And my goal is simple: to make the kind of candle that feels right at home in your space.
